#3245 answered Branch for FAFMIP NEMO Code ros m.couldrey

I have a local copy of NEMO code that I've been working on and using for the development of FAFMIP HadGEM3-GC31-LL experiments. My version has many modifications from the version on which it is based. I am wondering what the best way to set up version control for this already existant version would be. I'm not really sure what my options are. I think what I want to do is make it so that my version of the code can be shared with others and version controlled. Can this be done on the MOSRS repository or should it be done somewhere else with the NEMO IPSL repository?

One thing I've started trying to do was create a branch of the code based on the original version of the code that I started from. From there, I was thinking of folding in the edits from my working copy and then committing those changes. Perhaps this isn't the right way to achieve this?

When I first started, I originally aimed to try and follow the format of the FCM tutorial and create a branch of the NEMO code in a similar way. I believe the version of the code that I want was fcm:NEMO.xm/branches/UKMO/dev_r5518_GO6_package

When I try to create a branch, I get the following: macou@xcslc0:~/fafbranch> fcm branch-create -k 263 fafmip fcm:NEMO.xm/branches/UKMO/dev_r5518_GO6_package [FAIL] svn info —xml file:///home/d04/fcm/srv/svn/nemo.xm/trunk@12754 # rc=1 [FAIL] svn: warning: W170000: URL 'file:///home/d04/fcm/srv/svn/nemo.xm/trunk' non-existent in revision 12754 [FAIL] [FAIL] svn: E200009: Could not display info for all targets because some targets don't exist

When I do fcm ls fcm:NEMO.xm/branches/UKMO/dev_r5518_GO6_package I can see that the version exists, but can't seem to create my own branch based on that.

I guess it doesn't like that I'm trying to create a branch from the specified branch and is defaulting to the trunk version?

#3244 fixed pptransfer broken pipe during rsync um_support m.couldrey

I've not had any luck trying to restart a failing PPTRANSFER job for a few days now (suite u-bq244) My job.err ~/cylc-run/u-bq244/log/job/19171001T0000Z/pptransfer/NN/job.err shows the following:

[WARN] [SUBPROCESS]: Command: rsync -av —stats —rsync-path=mkdir -p /gws/nopw/j04/rdf_migrate_vol2/mpc18/NEXCS_OUTPUT/u-bq244/19171001T0000Z && rsync /projects/nexcs-n02/macou/u-bq244/19171001T0000Z/ [SUBPROCESS]: Error = 255:

The rsync command keeps failing. The beginning of the issue coincided with the nexcs-n02 projects space filling up last week, but I've cleared out a couple of TB since then and the job never makes it through. Not sure what's up, any help would be much appreciated!

#3243 fixed Error submitting jobs to archer um_support emnicki

Dear CMS,

When attempting to submit a job using the UMUI I get the following error: ERROR: Timed out, not responding while attempting to access account emnicki on host Note that repeated failures may result in expiry of password due to security procedures on some machines. Check user id, hostname and password for your account on the host machine.

The error seems to be intermittent as on one occasion the job did submit successfully, while the subsequent one failed again.

Would you have any ideas how I can resolve this?
