NDDIAG with input from BADC

Hi Chang,

I dowloaded a pp file from the BADC which is an output from the UKMO-LAM model over Africa. I unpacked it with your command :

/nfs/see-fs-02_u7/earcgw/UNPACKPP/unpackpp infile After that, I planed to use NDDIAG on the unpacked file but I obtained this failure message:

Should I process the unpack file by an other program before using it with NDDIAG?

Hi Ch.

The diagnostics program NDDIAG is a useful code for calculating a wide range of diagnostics from a basic set of UM output fields in model level and some surface fields. The fields required are as follows:

the surface orography (stash code=33) the theta presure levels (stash code=409)

the rho presure levels (stash code=407) the theta presure levels (stash code=408) the u component of wind (stash code=2) the v component of wind (stash code=3) the temperature (stash code=16004) the specific humidity (stash code=10) the cloud liquid water (stash code=4205) the cloud liquid ice (stash code=4206) the w-wind (stash code=150)

I had a look at your file and it does not contain the fields it requires. Your file contains standard pressure level data and some surface fields from the Met office operational run.
