Login failure when trying to submit job from UMUI

Reported by: swoodw Owned by: um_support
Component: UMUI Keywords:
Cc: Platform: PUMA
UM Version: 8.2

Description

Hi,
On trying to submit a job from the UMUI this morning, I got a permission denied error:

MAIN_SCR: Submit OK
Logging in to remote machines lander.monsoon-metoffice.co.uk and ibm02…

lander.monsoon-metoffice.co.uk: Permission denied

Tidying local directories…
Job submission failed

The associated stacktrace is given below. Last time I submitted a job on Friday I had no problems. However on Friday I was prompted for a passcode, and this morning there was no such prompt. Two other possibly relevant pieces of info: 1) I only tried to submit a job from the UMUI for the first time on Thurs, and failed several times because I couldn't remember the passcode. (But it has worked since) 2) My desktop crashed on Friday afternoon whilst I had several PUMA and MONSooN windows open.

Thanks for any help on this,
Steph Woodward

I've belatedly found the newsgroup posting about the planned network outage… I assume this is the problem, so would like to cancel this ticket.
Thanks
