I tried to commit changes to a PUMA NEMO-CICE repository just now and got the following error:

Hi Dave,

If you log out of PUMA and back in again, then retry the commit should work fine. Every now and then the login shell stops waiting for command line input. As yet we have been unable to track it down as it happens very infrequently.
