NEMO compilation problems - FCM/UMUI changes?

Reported by: dstork Owned by: um_support
Component: UM Model Keywords:
Cc: Platform: MONSooN
UM Version: 8.2

I am having problems running the compile step in a NEMO-CICE UMUI job (xjnyd).

The error message is:

gmake: * No rule to make target 'eosbn2.o', needed by 'asmbkg.o'. Stop.
* Waiting for unfinished jobs….

and the reason is that there is no rule to make the eosbn2.o object file in the Makefile. The corresponding .F90 module has been extracted OK.

The reason I'm raising a ticket is that this job is identical (as far as the build is concerned) to another job xjnya, which compiled successfully a couple of weeks ago, so I'm wondering if there have been any changes/updates in the UMUI or FCM system in that time?

Hi Dave,

There have been no changes to the UMUI. I did upgrade FCM on PUMA on 7th April, but this shouldn't have had any effect. The version on MONSooN remains the same. Is there any chance FCM has just got itself in a twist? Can you try forcing a full-extract & full-build to see if it suffers the same problem again?
