#1282 closed error (fixed)

Problems compiling on ARCHER today

Reported by: s1251469 Owned by: um_support
Component: UM Model Keywords:
Cc: Platform: ARCHER
UM Version: 7.3

I am trying to run a UKCA job (xjhxf). I was running it fine before 11am today. Made some changes and things went a bit wrong which I thought was the changes but returning to the original doesnt seem to have fixed. I am no longer getting huge build times as initially but it seems to fail because of the compiler. e.g. the message:

"ftn-2136 crayftn: ERROR in command line

Unable to obtain a Cray Compiling Environment License.

fcm_internal compile failed (256)"

refer to ~s1251469/output/xjhxf000.xjhxf.d14113.t162758.comp.leave

Has anything changed today? Do I need to update my compiler? Do you think that I still need to try an find problems in my code?

many thanks,

We are seeing the same issue - it looks like ARCHER has some problem with their software licences. I shall forward your email to the ARCHER helpdesk.

  • Resolution set to fixed
  • Status changed from new to closed

I am closing this ticket as there has not been any activity for some time. I understand the compiler license issue was subsequently resolved by Archer.
