Description

Hello,

I am attempting to run jobs xjvyc - xjvyg. These are vn7.3 jobs and use the hand-edit

~ros/HadGEM3-A/vn7.3/HGPKG1/fcm_checks.scr

However, when the jobs finish processing I get the error messages

Now running ~ros/HadGEM3-A/vn7.3/HGPKG1/fcm_checks.scr...

I have a .fcm file in my /home directory, which looks like

[20:40:10 luke@puma ~]$ cat /home/luke/.fcm
inc ~um/fcm/etc/um_revisions.cfg

however, the file referenced here does not exist (as the error message implies)

[20:40:18 luke@puma ~]$ cat ~um/fcm/etc/um_revisions.cfg
cat: /home/um/fcm/etc/um_revisions.cfg: No such file or directory
Exit 1

Also as the error message implies, I don't have kdialog in my $PATH:

[20:41:07 luke@puma ~]$ which kdialog
which: no kdialog in (/usr/lib64/mpi/gcc/openmpi/bin:/home/luke/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/bin/X11:/usr/X11R6/bin:/usr/games:/usr/lib64/jvm/jre/bin:/usr/lib/mit/bin:/usr/lib/mit/sbin:/home/um/fcm/bin:/home/luke/bin:/home/ukca/bin)
Exit 1
[20:48:31 luke@puma ~]$ kdialog

The program 'kdialog' can be found in following packages:
  * kde4-kdialog [ path: /usr/bin/kdialog, repository: zypp (repo-update) ]
  * kdebase3 [ path: /opt/kde3/bin/kdialog, repository: zypp (repo-update) ]
  * kde4-kdialog [ path: /usr/bin/kdialog, repository: zypp (repo-oss) ]
  * kdebase3 [ path: /opt/kde3/bin/kdialog, repository: zypp (repo-oss) ]
  * kdebase3 [ path: /opt/kde3/bin/kdialog, repository: zypp (openSUSE 11.1-0) ]

Try installing with: sudo zypper install kde4-kdialog

-bash: kdialog: command not found
Exit 127

These jobs are copies of others which ran successfully even a few weeks ago. Has something changes on PUMA in the past few weeks, or have I done something silly somewhere?

Many thanks,
Luke

Hi Luke,

You need to remove the file $HOME/.fcm on PUMA. This file is no longer needed, I upgraded FCM a few weeks ago, but did email all those users affected. I'm guessing the email address we have in our users file for you is out of date. :-(

Cheers,
Ros.

Hi Ros,

Thanks for this. I've checked back through my email and I can't find anything, so that must be it.

Removing the .fcm file now allows the job to process.

Many thanks,
Luke
