Continuation run

I am trying to run for a whole year a job that previously run successfully for 1 month. I followed the guide from and it seems like the first chunk has run fine, as I have an output for the first month of the run in the job's folder from the devt disk.

I am trying now to submit the continuation run, as explaine in the guide, but I'm not able to find the UM script SUBMIT. In my $HOME directory, I don't have a /umui_jobs/ folder.

Hi Alex,

You will find the umui_jobs folder is under your $HOME directory on PUMA. You need to change the SUBMIT script on PUMA and then resubmit the run in the same way you did for the first month.

Thanks Ros, I found it now.

I submitted the inititial run using the Submit button in UMUI. If I do the same now (after I change the SUBMIT script to TYPE=CRUN and STEP=4, I get the following error in the submission window: "You have selected a compilation step and a CRUN. This is not allowed. Please modify your UMUI settings"

Why is the compilation step still in there (I though STEP=4 should have get rid of it)?

Hi Alex,

Looking at your job I see that you are compiling the reconfiguration executable, this is why your job is still trying to do a compile step.

You will need to change the setting of RCF_NEW_EXEC to false in the SUBMIT script and then resubmit.

For information; in the UMUI you will find the switch to control compilation of the reconfiguration in the window
sub-model independent → compilations and modifications → modifications for the reconfiguration.
