Description
Hi,
I cannot connect to PUMA with my laptop any more. When I try to connect, I get the following message:
Server unexpectedly closed network connection
I would really appreciate, if you could help me with this problem.

Hi Andy,
I am trying to login through Putty. I am using my laptop at home. I am also using Putty to login in to HPC Wales and everything works fine. I had no problems logging to PUMA also,but then I changed my password and problems began. At first, I was always receiving message that my password is wrong and later I couldn't connect to the server at all. I tried to log in few minutes ago, but I got the same error again: Server unexpectedly closed network connection.

Hi Davor,
Sounds like I need to reset your password and allow your PC access again as you have got locked out of Puma. Unfortunately there were two rejected logins around the time you tried and 'a few minutes ago' isn't enough to differentiate which one is yours. Could you try logging in again and tell me the time you try this?

Please wait ten minutes from receiving this email before trying to login.
I think I have located your attempted laptop login. Please try and if there is an error message paste it into the ticket.
There is a free program called MobaXterm? that does a Linux shell with X windows and ssh. It's much easier that putty. Try having a look at http://mobaxterm.mobatek.net

Hi Davor,
I cannot see you trying to log into puma since 10th Feb so it looks like this is an error before you get to the login stage.
How are you trying to login to puma? Are you using ssh Davor@…?
Where are you using your laptop from? Is it home or work?
Have you used this laptop before and it worked or is the first time?
And finally - could you try logging in again and let me know the time you try doing this.
