Error with ASAD_FLUX_PUT_STASH

Reported by: ih280 Owned by: um_support
Component: UKCA Keywords:
Cc: Platform: ARCHER
UM Version: 7.3

Description

Hello,

I am trying to run a 7.3 UM-UKCA job on Archer. I have successfully run this job before from this branch:

svn://puma/UM_svn/UM/branches/dev/ih280/vn7.3_CheST/

The local working copy and the latest commit (16078) are identical.

I manually compile on Archer using this handedit:

/home/ukca/hand_edits/VN7.3/manual_comp_ARCHER.ed

The job that uses the local working copy runs: xlocc
The job that uses the committed version fails: xloch
The job that uses the committed version and NO manual compilation fails: xloco

Best wishes,
Ines

Please select force full build in FCM Configuration→ RCM Extract and Build…

Why use /home/ukca/hand_edits/VN7.3/manual_comp_ARCHER.ed — this was just a UKCA training work around to avoid queueing?

Dear Grenville,

I still get the same error with force full build selected (xloch).

I also tried to run a copy of xlnfa which is a 7.3 CheST chemistry job and running at the moment on Archer. However, this produces the same ASAD_FLUX_PUT_STASH error (xlocq).

I have switched off manual compiling.

The new complier has exposed some flaw in the code - that'll be potentially quite difficult to track down. However, while testing your job I requested extra diagnostic messages (Input/Output? control.. → Output choices, Set level of print output…) and it ran OK (see xlnih).

Clearly this is not a good solution, but OK as a work around.

Please try it.

Dear Grenville,

Thanks for this! I have taken a copy of your job and it seems to be running for me.

Best,
Ines

OK - this is quite flakey 'though - caveat emptor.
