Insufficient amount of resource vntype

Reported by: ucfaako Owned by: willie
Priority: normal Component: ARCHER
Keywords: not running, resource Cc:
Platform: ARCHER UM Version: 6.6.3

Description

Hello,

whenever I try to run a job (that previously worked as well as new ones) on ARCHER I get the following error message when checking my job status:

Not Running: Insufficient amount of resource vntype (cray_compute != )

I checked disk space availability and resources, both seem fine.
Many thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,

This just indicates that your job is queued. When sufficient job nodes become available the PBS queuing software will automatically start your job. The amount of queuing depends on the resources you ask for. One of my jobs uses three nodes for 20 hours and has queued for several days.

I hope that helps.

Regards

Willie
