Description (last modified by ros)
Hi HelpDesk,
When I'm opening Gedit on ARCHER I get this error message:
GConf Error: Failed to contact configuration server; some possible causes are that you need to enable TCP/IP networking for ORBit, or you have stale NFS locks due to a system crash. See http://projects.gnome.org/gconf/ for information. (Details - 1: Failed to get connection to session: Failed to connect to socket /tmp/dbus-NvFotD25h8: Connection refused)
It only seems to appear whenever I have more than one login session open. It appears others have had this issue before (http://cms.ncas.ac.uk/ticket/1603). It's more annoying than anything, so any help would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Tim
