rose sgc not updating

Description

Hi,

One forecast job in the nested suite was submitted yesterday and rose sgc still shows the status of that job as submitted. When I checked the job status in Archer with qstat 3950451 and when I checked the log files job.out and job.err, they both show that the job has succeeded already. Do you know why rose sgc is not updating it? I tried poll all and also tried reloading the suite and still rose sgc shows the same.

Hi Arathy,

Sometimes gcylc gets confused and will not update a task - we've not understood why yet. If you've checked the job.status file for the task and it says 'SUCCEEDED', then you can try right-clicking on the stuck task and change its status to succeeded. If gcylc isn't responding and updating the status, try closing the gcylc window and restarting it with rose sgc. If that doesn't work, shutdown the suite and then restart it with rose suite-run --restart and then it should definitely update itself.

Thanks Ros, the job.status file showed that it has 'SUCCEEDED'. I changed its status to succeeded and restarted the suite. Now it started running the next job.
