how can I force a suite-shutdown on puma?

Description

Hi, I am trying to force the shutdown of a running suite (u-ag541).

On MONSooN I can directly kill the process by logging into exvmscylc however I don't know what to do when running on ARCHER.

There is no instance of my model experiment in the ARCHER queue. I've tried "rose suite-shutdown" and "cylc shutdown —now u-ag541" on Puma without any success.

What else could I do?

Many thanks,
Marcus

Hi Marcus,

If you can't shutdown the suite through the Cylc GUI or on the command line you can do the same as you have on exvmscylc but on PUMA. The cylc process runs on PUMA so do:

puma$ ps -flu <username> | grep <suitename>

Kill the processes. Note you may also need to remove the associated port file for the suite under ~/.cylc/ports

Ros.
