UM Automatic resubmission using rose

Description

Hello,

I've been trying to setup automatic re-submission (NRUN, CRUN) for the UM vn10.2 on MONSooN, suite u-ah130, but I just can find how I am supposed to do it. I've gone through all the on-line help I've found, but I simply can't find an appropriate example. Is there an on-line resource that you can recommend and that I missed? What I have at the moment is a standard suite, with a scheduling section in the suite.rc file looking like this:

[scheduling]
    [[dependencies]]
        graph = """
{%- if BUILD == true %}
        fcm_make => fcm_make2 => \
{%- endif %}
{%- if RECON == true %}
        recon => \
{%- endif %}
        atmos
        """

My concrete questions are:

  • how do I setup a cycle so that the atmos app is run several times? and
  • how do I configure the input to the next run so that it knows that it has to take the latest startdump from the previous cycle?

Any help will be greatly appreciated?

Thanks,

Oscar

Hi Oscar,

Adding in cycling from scratch to a suite is not trivial. We recommend that you start from a suite that is already set up to cycle. Is there a more appropriate suite available? If not I can try and dig out a suite that you might be able to copy the cycling from.

Ros.

Hi Ros,

Actually I managed to do it! Or I think I did. The output looks sensible so I'm fairly confident but I'll only know once I look at the results more carefully. In case it's useful the trial suite is u-ah577. It is very basic, no housekeeping step for example.

Thanks,
Oscar

Excellent. Glad you managed to get it cycling. I'll close this query now.
