Creating branch of JULES v4.8

Description

Hi,

I am needing to run a JULES standalone suite, u-ai227, which relies on

branches/dev/tobymarthews/vn4.8_testHoT?rev=7219

and would like it ported to one of our servers here (I've been using elm up until now). Although I'm (semi) familiar with FCM and branches, I've never used it in relation to JULES and have only ever followed precise instructions (such as when running the UM). So I would be unfamiliar using it "off piste". I am familiar with Rose, but only ever looking at other people's examples - I have never run it in anger myself. I have also never run JULES this way - until now I've been simply editing the namelists as individual files and then running the executable from the command line, using Robin Smith's (cc'd, as he's been helping so far) exec rather than getting into building it myself.

I'm going to attend the Rose/Cylc? conversion course, but that’s not for a few weeks.

Many thanks,

Charlie

Now running on Lotus - work taken out of helpdesk

Summary: Rose/Cylc not installed locally, recommended solution was to run JULES on Lotus(JASMIN). Required suite was ported to Lotus and submitted from PUMA.
