Cannot submit suite -- No host selected

Description

Hi, I am having difficulties submitting suite u-am585 on MONSooN. It previously submitted without problems and no changes have been made to the rose environment.

The error is:

[FAIL] bash -ec H=$(rose\ host-select\ exvmsrose);\ echo\ $H # return-code=1, stderr=
[FAIL] [WARN] exvmsrose: (timed out)
[FAIL] [FAIL] No hosts selected.

The selected HPC is MONSooN however the suite will run on NEXCS.

Hi Marcus,

Can you please try changing EXTRACT_HOST to be '$ROSE_ORIG_HOST' in suite conf and try again.

Sorry, there is now another problem. fcm_make_pp in the gcylc window shows submit failed. I am not sure if this is a related problem or a new one?

It seems this problem with fcm_make_pp has resolved itself. All seems to work normally now.

Hi Ros,

I am experiencing still random errors of 'No host selected' at the end of the rose suite-run submit process. When I resubmit repeatedly it seems to work after a while. Also, fcm_make_pp occasionally appears in pink in gcylc with a submit failed status message. There seems to be no systematic occurrence — is there any setting that I need to correct for this?

Something that has changed recently is that when I log into exvmsrose I am no longer asked for my MOSRS password. I don't know why. Perhaps this is related in some way?
