Description

Two of my CRUN jobs failed immediately, with the error DRLANDF1 : Error in FILE_OPEN.

I've checked on umui and my start dumps are where I specified, as are my orography files.

Fiona

I can't see that you have done an NRUN for xnfhg?

I put both xnfhf and xnfhg on the short queue. Looking at the files on my home directory xnfhf-191170317/ and xnfhg-192125525/, they were both NRUN.

I think I archived the output because I'd run out of disc space, will that be what's affecting the CRUN?

Please give "others" permission to see your /nerc space

How do I do that? Sorry, I'm new to archer.

I see you are running again — we can't help when the target is moving.

To change permissions:

chmod -R g+rX /nerc/n02/n02/fturner

I've changed permissions.

Also I've stopped the runs - recently when I've put things in the standard queue they've started running almost immediately, which is very odd as usually my jobs queue for hours. Is this a sign that there's something off with the job, or are there just fewer things in the queue the last week or so?

Ah — OK — maybe be best to do the NRUN again and not archive files. It typically creates output files which need to persist in order for the CRUN to continue.

Queue times are not relate to the state of your job.

Ok, I've put an NRUN through the short queue for both jobs and set up the CRUNs again. Hopefully it's sorted now!
