Disk quota on ARCHER?

Description

Hello,

Is there a way to know how much space we can use on /work/ (on ARCHER)? Because I tried to set two different run and it crashes at the compilation step because of a disk quota exceeded (apparently).
For now I think I'm just around 10G on /work, so is there a way to extend the limit?
As I intend to archive all the outputs on /nerc, same question: how much space can we use?

Cheers,
Nico

Please see

http://www.archer.ac.uk/documentation/user-guide/resource_management.php

section 3.4. Your SAFE account also shows usage (but only updated daily).

How much data will your simulations create?

Hi Grenville,

Indeed right now my work quota is 10G. If I could go up to 100-200G it would be great (just to be sure that the models can store enough restart data and to compute monthly/seasonal means before archiving on /nerc).

Cheers,
Nico

Nico

I have increased it to 1TB (it may take short while to be usable).

What volumes of data will you create?

Thanks!

Based on the run I was doing on Monsoon, the total amount of outputs was 450G, so for 2 runs I should need 900G (on /nerc).
