Description
Dear Help,
I notice that there is no link on this page to the STASHmaster viewer
http://cms.ncas.ac.uk/wiki/ToolsAndUtilities#DevelopmentTools
Is the viewer now defunct/unsupported?
Can you suggest how I can relate STASH codes to some sort of variable name/variable description (I'm hoping for something more user friendly than just combing through the STASHmaster file)?
I had a brief look on the MetO UM wiki/trac, but didn't find any obvious resource on there either.
Thanks,
Doug

Hi Doug,
The viewer is no longer supported. I normally use a simple script to scan the STASHmaster file for a particular version. An example script for ARCHER is attached. Usage is below
$ check_stash Usage: check_stash <section> <item> <version> where section, item is up to three digits e.g. check_stash 0 21 7.8
I hope that helps,
Regards
Willie
