Definitions of file/directory name aliases within Rose suites

I'm trying to work out exactly what my suite is doing in terms of aerosols. There are various aliases it refers to in file paths, e.g.
but I can't find anywhere that these are defined - I've tried searching within the GUI and also within roses and cylc-run directories but they do not seem to appear anywhere.

Also within namelist/UM Science Settings/section01/ozone it's got "prescribed 2D field" ticked but again it doesn't seem to specify anywhere what file this comes from. By digging around a bit within /work/y07/y07/umshared/ancil (where some of the standard ancils etc are) I've found some different ozone files (some climatologies, some time-varying) but I need to know which is being used.

Those environment variables are set in the anvil versions file — you should be able to find what that is from <your suite>/app/install_ancil/rose-app.conf - something like

Thanks Grenville, that's really helpful.

I wondered if you know of any aerosol ancillary files available on ARCHER with emissions for each year/decade (in particular I'm interested in 1976 and 2010) following the CMIP5 recommended values? The files I've found are all for either 2000 or a climatology for 1970-2010 (except for SO2/DMS which have monthly values over this period). Also prescribed monthly ozone fields for this period. I imagine people must have run simulations using these at some point.
