I wondered if you could advise me on the best way to transfer quite a large amount of data from the RDF to JASMIN?

there's a service which is run by Globus https://www.globus.org/ which is supported at both ends. This is a simple to use website which handles the transfer.

There's documentation about the ARCHER end: https://www.archer.ac.uk/documentation/data-management/transfers.php (Search the page for globus online)

And CEDA end: https://help.jasmin.ac.uk/article/3816-transfers-to-from-archer-rdf

This may help??

P.S. The previous CEDA link (https://help.jasmin.ac.uk/article/4480-data-transfer-tools-globus-command-line-interface) was a bit more involved. Using the website is easier.

Thanks, this is helpful. However I'm struggling to work out what option I should be choosing for the jasmin end as it's not entirely clear. I assume it should be JASMIN gridftp server (which then comes up as slcs1.ceda.ac.uk) but it doesn't seem to like my password (but I have checked and it's definitely the right password).
Is this the correct option to use?

You've picked the correct option, but to log in you need to use your CEDA log in credentials. Basically use the username and password for www.ceda.ac.uk

General JASMIN use is via an SSH agent, which is why you can't use the same thing on Globus.
