I've just made a copy of a suite and it fails at the fcm_make stage. The error message is as follow:

/home/s1895566/cylc-run/u-bf475/log/job/1/fcm_make/01/job: line 136: module: command not found
Received signal ERR
cylc (scheduler - 2019-02-01T14:59:05Z): CRITICAL Task job script received signal ERR at 2019-02-01T14:59:05Z
cylc (scheduler - 2019-02-01T14:59:05Z): CRITICAL failed at 2019-02-01T14:59:05Z

My suite is u-bf475 and I have no idea what the error message means. Thanks!

Have you changed the section pre-script=""" … """ in the suite.rc ?

If so you may have made a typo, for example putting a space in front of the word module.
Try looking at this, and I'll look again on Monday if you have no luck.

I didn't change anything after copying the suite. I tried to delete those spaces, but they re-appeared every time I ran the suite. I don't know how they are overwritten by the suite. Thanks.

Hi Eden,

What computer are you trying to run this on? This is a single column model which is a light weight model (single processor) and is not suitable for a super computer like ARCHER. This suite is from the Met Office originally and is designed to run on a Met Office PC.

You will need a PC with Rose and Cylc installed and also a Fortran and, I think,a C compiler.

I am currently looking at trying to get this sort of suite going on JASMIN and possibly the post processing nodes on ARCHER (not the supercomputer part). This is a work in progress.
