rose submission failure

Description

Just to note.

My submission of rose suite encountered a failure;

[FAIL] ssh -oBatchMode=yes -oStrictHostKeyChecking=no -oConnectTimeout=8 -n exvmsrose env\ ROSE_VERSION=2019.01.0\ CYLC_VERSION=7.8.1\ bash\ -l\ -c\ \'\"$0\"\ \"$@\"\'\ rose\ suite-run\ -vv\ -n\ u-bg248\ --new\ --run=run\ --remote=uuid=875eb8df-479a-4ab3-b4db-dabf1a89e2f9,now-str=20190305T134555Z,root-dir=\'$DATADIR\',root-dir{share/cycle}=\'$SCRATCH\',root-dir{work}=\'$WORKING\' # return-code=255, stderr=
[FAIL] ssh: connect to host exvmsrose port 22: Connection timed out

The first line seems to show that it is trying to submit the job to exvmsrose, which must have been turned off today. I couldn't find any help or documentation online, but I did find that site/MONSooN.rc contains a line

           host = 'exvmsrose'

So I changed this into "host = 'xcslc0'" and tried again. The job seems to have been submitted now. So I will need to do the same thing for all other rose suites as well.

Please leave comments if any.

Thanks,
Masaru

Hi Masaru,

Yes exvmsrose/exvmscylc have both been switched off today.

The advice is to change exvmsrose to be localhost. See the "Errors I may see" table on this page:

Ros.
