Description
Hi Helpdesk,
I'm re-running a vn7.3 UKCA job. This is xhldl. I recompiled the model and reconfiguration executables. The model seemed to be running fine up until the beginning of a NRUN, which failed with the error below related to SST ancillaries. I tried to restart the job again (CRUN), but it failed with the same error. I don't quite understand the issue as the model seemed to be running fine, and the ancillaries are all in place. The model output is at /home/n02/n02/anmcr/output/xhldl000.xhldl.d19101.t000013.leave. I would be grateful for any advice.
Many thanks,
Andrew

Hi Willie,
Thanks for looking into this. I don't quite believe that I did this, but I think that I deleted this directory a few days ago as I thought it was not being used. I just checked with ARCHER, and they are unable to restore it. The ancillaries I deleted were for a repeating year 2000 run. Do you know if there is a copy of these files elsewhere?
Many thanks,
Andrew

Hi Andrew,
The /work directory on ARCHER isn't backed up. If the your files are not in the standard place $UMDIR/ancil/atmos, then I'm afraid you'll have to regenerate them. Maybe you put a copy on the RDF?

Hi Andrew,
In the leave file it says /work/n02/n02/anmcr/DATA/ANC2000/2000_sst.anc does not exist. I don't think it is under /work/n02/n02/anmcr.
Your tmp directory on /work/n02/n02/anmcr could do with being emptied - it makes searching for files very slow.
