Puma Umui font issues

Description

Hi,

I'm trying to use the umui gui on puma, but when it opens, the font is too large to use (see attached screenshot). I tried this https://aufather.wordpress.com/2010/11/21/increasing-font-size-in-xming-server/ , and the suggestions here http://cms.ncas.ac.uk/wiki/UmuiCustomising (I made the .umui_appearance file in /home/ChrisWells), but neither of these changed this. This is the first time I've tried to open the umui since I changed laptops.

Do you know how I could fix this?

Cheers,
Chris

Hi Chris,

Could you try copying my ~ros/.ghui_appearance file as well and see if that helps.

Cheers,
Ros.

Hi Ros,

That has changed the main screen to be usable (I had to copy your /home/ros/ghuiFontsTcl8.5/dialog.tcl too), but unfortunately when I open a run the font is too small (see attached).

Cheers,
Chris

Hi Chris,

That's because you've changed all the fonts to size 1 in the .umui_appearance file.

Cheers,
Ros.

P.S. You can comment out the first line in the .ghui_appearance file then you don't need my Tcl8.5 file.

Hi Ros,

My bad! Forgot I had been playing around with that file yesterday to try and get it working. Thanks for the help on this; I'll close the ticket now.

Cheers,
Chris
