SSH -Y Monsoon: timeout in locking authority file

Description
When using SSH -Y to connect to the Monsoon server from my Linux machine I get the following error:
/usr/bin/xauth: timeout in locking authority file /home/d02/jcarter/.Xauthority
Then when connecting to xcslc0 I get this error:
Warning: No xauth data; using fake authentication data for X11 forwarding.
I have then not been able to run rose from xcslc0. What is causing the initial error and is this what is preventing me accessing rose?
Best wishes,
Jez

Problem was due to $HOME directory on lander having incorrect permissions.

Hi Jez,
Often problems with .Xauthority result from lack of disk space but it doesn't look like you've copied any files to lander (which you shouldn't).
I will pass this to the Monsoon team.

Ros.
