pptransfer stuck

I am trying to run the stnadard suite u-ax053 using postproc and pptransfer as indicated on However, the fcm_make2_pptransfer has stuck. I have attached a screenshot of the cylc-gui. I think that the problem is that fcm_make2_pptransfer is trying to be submitted to, but this does not seem to have a job queue. I have already confirmed that I can ssh from PUMA to and from to ARCHER. Could you help me set this up?

Hi Daniel,

PLease give us access to read your home directory on JASMIN. The fcm_make2_pptransfer is running in the background (see the cylc GUI image) on jasmin-xfer2 it doesn't use any queue - this is correct.

You can see if the task is still running and what its status is by looking at the ~/cylc-run/suiteid/log/job/<cyclename>/fcm_make2_pptransfer/NN/job.status on JASMIN. If it says succeeded then just change the status of the task to succeeded in the cylc GUI, if not there should be an error message in the job.err file in the same directory.

Hi Ros,

You should now have read access for my home directory. I do not have a cylc-run directory in my home directory on JASMIN. Should that be a red flag?

Hi Daniel,

There is a cylc-run directory. ~dgalea/cylc-run/u-ax053/log/job/19880901T0000Z/fcm_make2_pptransfer/01/job.status says the task has finished successfully. So please set the status of the fcm_make2_pptransfer task to succeeded to allow the suite to continue.
