New soil ancillary for PORCELAIN offline simulations

Hi Patrick,

Please could you point me to the new soil ancillary I can use for the PORCELAIN offline simulations (0.5 degree, WFDEI grid), and also a suite or something to get the correct options for jules_soil.nml etc to use with the new ancil.

Hi Becky
The version in MOSRS is the u-bv185 Rose/Cylc suite, which uses the Zhang & Schaap H1LS PTF (Soilgrids soil inputs) for the soils. This is the checked-in copy of the internal copy u-bb422GLZE2 suite. The ancillary filename with the soils PTF outputs (for 60-100cm depth) listed in the suite is:

file='/gws/nopw/j04/ncas_generic/users/pmcguire/ants/soil_ancil3/soil_WFDEI_ZhangSchaapH1_V1r_l5_2b.nc'

The original soils ancillary file (Brooks and Corey model, Cosby et al. PTF, UM/HWSD soil inputs) was:

file='/gws/nopw/j04/ncas_generic/users/pmcguire/jules_ancil/nancil_test_pljules-vn4.4/qrparm.soil_wfdei_NEW2.nc'
