Description
Hi,
No doubt you will be aware that the various Jasmin servers changing very soon with the old ones being retired.
In my various suites, I am currently transferring via jasmin-xfer2.ceda.ac.uk so clearly this will need to be changed. The documentation says that the 3 new transfer ways are:
xfer1.jasmin.ac.uk
xfer2.jasmin.ac.uk
hpxfer1.jasmin.ac.uk
So which one should I use? The 2nd, or the last? I already have access to hpxfer.
Also, am I able to making this change while my suite is running, and then simply pick it up with a —reload?
Thanks,
Charlie

Okay, very many thanks. So I have now changed to that, and reloaded. And I have changed my config file to add a third section, so that it now reads as follows:
Host jasmin-xfer1 jasmin-xfer1.ceda.ac.uk Hostname jasmin-xfer1.ceda.ac.uk User cwilliams2011 IdentityFile ~/.ssh/id_rsa_jasmin Host jasmin-xfer2 jasmin-xfer2.ceda.ac.uk Hostname jasmin-xfer2.ceda.ac.uk User cwilliams2011 IdentityFile ~/.ssh/id_rsa_jasmin Host hpxfer1 hpxfer1.jasmin.ac.uk Hostname hpxfer1.jasmin.ac.uk User cwilliams2011 IdentityFile ~/.ssh/id_rsa_jasmin
Is this latter part correct? I wasn't sure what to put just after Host…?

- Resolution set to fixed
- Status changed from new to closed
Hi Charlie,
hpxfer1.jasmin.ac.uk is the replacement for the High Performance transfer server jasmin-xfer2.ceda.ac.uk, so yes the last one.
And yes, just change jasmin-xfer2.ceda.ac.uk to hpxfer1.jasmin.ac.uk in the suite and do a --reload.
Don't forget you will need to change your ~/.ssh/config file accordingly too.
Cheers,
Ros.
