cannot connnect to id_rsa_archerum authentication agent

My suite u-bw789 had trouble submitting tasks after around 7am this morning. I have attempted to resubmit the suite, but there is a connection issue.

The command
ssh-add ~/.ssh/id_rsa_archerum
'Could not open a connection to your authentication agent'

I have remade my id_rsa_archerum keys and followed the instructions here
but the problem persists. Any idea what I've done wrong?

Hi Leighton,

The "Could not open a connection to your authentication agent" error means your ssh-agent has died and needs restarting.

You need to remove the ~/.ssh/environment.pumatest file and then logout and back into pumatest to start up a new agent. Then you should be able to run the ssh-add command.

If you have generated a new archerum ssh-key you will now need to wait for me to send the key to ARCHER and for them to update it at their end. I don't suppose, by any chance, you kept your previous archerum keys did you?

Yes, I kept a copy of my keys. I have renamed them and followed your advice, so my suite is now running again.
