Description
Hello,
I'm having problems to recompile a global model executable. This is a version that previously ran without problems which makes the case more puzzling.
The error in the .comp.leave file indicates that -lsci_istanbul_mp could not be found. The relevant lines are the following:
touch /home/n02/n02/oma/xfwbz/ummodel/done/um_shell.done fcm_internal load:F UM__control__top_level flumemain.o qxum.gl blkdata.o ar: creating /home/n02/n02/oma/xfwbz/ummodel/tmp/lib__fcm__qxum.a ftn -o qxum.gl /home/n02/n02/oma/xfwbz/ummodel/obj/flumemain.o /home/n02/n02/oma/xfwbz/ummodel/obj/blkdata.o -L/home/n02/n02/oma/xfwbz/ummodel/lib -L/home/n02/n02/oma/xfwbz/umbase/lib -l__fcm__qxum -L. -L /work/n02/n02/hum/gcom/pathscale/gcom3.3/lib -Wl,--warn-unresolved-symbols -Wl,-z,muldefs -r8 -i8 -lgcom_buffered_mpi -L /work/n02/n02/hum/lib/pathscale -lgrib /usr/lib64/gcc/x86_64-suse-linux/4.3/../../../../x86_64-suse-linux/bin/ld: cannot find -lsci_istanbul_mp collect2: ld returned 1 exit status fcm_internal load failed (256) gmake: *** [qxum.gl] Error 1 gmake -f /home/n02/n02/oma/xfwbz/ummodel/Makefile -j 6 all failed (2) at /esfs1/n02/n02/hum/fcm/bin/../lib/Fcm/Build.pm line 597 Build failed on Thu Oct 6 14:24:04 2011.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Oscar

Hi Oscar,
We've adopted a more solid solution, so you don't need to bother with the hand edit - it should work now.

Hi Willie,
Thanks for that. I've used the hand edit and it worked, but if there is a more robust solution, I won't use it anymore in the future.
Now I have a different problem. I'll open a different ticket to describe it to you.
Thanks,
Oscar
