query about logging in to PUMA from home PC

Description

Hi,

I tried doing the following from my home PC (linux):

ssh -Y dstork@…

I entered my password when prompted but got a permission denied error. My question is whether this is something I should be able to do in principle or are there restrictions on where you can log on from (NERC computers only or something like that)?

It isn't very important, but it might be useful if I could log on from home occasionally.

Thanks,

Dave

Hi Dave,

there are no restrictions on logging into puma. I see that you tried to login to puma twice from 79.70.231.162 on September 9th at 16:26. On both occasions it said that you didn't supply the correct password.

Cheers

Andy
