netcdf4 on monsoon

Hello, am running NEMO on Monsoon (as part of JOMP and IMARNET projects) and have been generating netcdf4 files as a result - MOnsoon doesn't seem to be able to handle netcdf4 so am finding it necessary to move data to other locations for averaging/processing etc which is inconvenient. Are there any plans to introduce ncks tools for netcdf4?

Hi Bablu,

I recommend that you use postproc03 for processing your data. A whole suite of these tools is installed on postproc03 (under /project/ukmo/rhel6/nco/bin/) which should be in your $PATH by default). This is at version 4.1.0.

I think postproc01 only has an earlier version installed and also will be retired soon (see email sent recently).

If you still find the tools you need are not available, please let me know which ones you require and I'll put in a request for them to be installed.
